Unlicensed Doctor Breach of Contract and Personal Injury
|Providence, RI, 02910|
I am seeking an attorney to file a personal injury suit against a large property owner in NY due to injury sustained from bed bug bites while visiting a friend. My friend had previously requested the superintendent to inspect his property in order to detect possible contamination of his apartment due to a complaint issued by one of his roommates of suspected insect bites. At this time the superintendent disclosed pertinent information that was previously withheld; he was aware of a bed bug infestation problem in an adjoining apartment, however at no time did the superintendent inform the party I was visiting of the infestation problem in the building. The superintendent then advised he would contact the management office in order to have some action taken and have the apartment inspected. NO response was issued from the management office even after multiple request were issued.
During my visit, I received numerous bed bug bites located on my legs, ankles, knees, arms, hands, neck and face. The progression of swelling and itching became overwhelming and I was driven to a local emergency room for treatment. After 3 hours of waiting to be seen by a doctor, I received a Benadryl shot to reduce the swelling and itching as well as a prescription lotion to use over several days to treat my condition. In addition, I am required to take Benadryl orally every 4 hours to control the pain contributed to itching and swelling of the bites received. My condition is intolerable, painful and will possibly scare due to my sensitive skin. The following day I was prohibited to drive and could not go to work. I am also a college student and was prevented from attending my regular classes scheduled. This includes absence from an important exam and will require the sacrifice of time out of work to make up.
I have pictures to verify the extremity of bites as well as severity of the allergic reaction they induced. I am seeking legal action for pain and suffering, medical cost and time out of work.

I am a 21 year employee of a worldwide insurance company, I am presently on TDI for a bulged disk pinching a nerve in which I am in need of surgury, I also was diagnoised with spinal stinosis. The bulged disk is the result of falling down the stairs of the home of which I rent from my employer. When I found out that I needed surgery I notified my employer to ask if they would hold my position open when I return from surgery which extends past the 12 weeks of FMLA, I was told that they cannot qaurantee my position when I return to work, therefore I must return to work without having the surgery. I am concerned that if my back acts up and I cannot perform my job they will terminate me and I will lose my benifits, my medical and will not be able to have surgery in the future. How do I protect my job and benifits, I am a maintenance man who is required to be on my feet for 8 hours a day, after 21 years with the company and 49 years old my job has takein it's toll on my body not to mention the fall that I took.
