Atlee, Hall & Brookhart was founded nearly 30 years ago with a dedication to assist those individuals seriously injured due to the negligence of others. We have been recognized as one of the preeminent personal injury firms in Pennsylvania representing clients throughout the State and the nation. We have won record setting verdicts, including the largest medical malpractice verdict in York County and the largest personal injury verdict in Lancaster County, as well as multiple seven figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of our clients. Additionally, due to our vigorous and unwavering representation of injured parties we have been responsible for establishing controlling precedents in the field of crashworthiness/automobile design defect cases.
Our clients benefit from AHB’s wealth of experience and expertise in the fields of malpractice, poorly designed or manufactured products, automobile liability, premises liability, insurance bad faith, and other serious personal injuries. We have established relationships with experts nationwide that specialize in medicine, engineering and other areas that provide us with the best opportunity to represent our clients’ interests.
We have been recognized by our peers, locally, statewide and nationally for our work and dedication in the legal community:
Named one of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers in 2004 and 2005, Bill Atlee has been in practice as a trial lawyer for over 30 years. His determination to win the full measure of justice for each of his clients and his ability in trial are very well recognized. Among his achievements is winning the largest personal injury jury verdict ever in Lancaster County, $8.2 million against General Motors Corporation. He also won the largest medical malpractice jury verdict ever obtained in York County, $6.5 million against York Hospital. He has extensive experience in the trial of major cases. He is currently listed in Best Lawyers in America as a result of his efforts on behalf of his clients. In 1995 he was named as a Fellow of the elite American College of Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Atlee has lectured to other lawyers on the trial of cases at state and national conferences and seminars. As a result of his interest and experience in cases against auto manufacturers he participated as a lecturer in a two day statewide seminar presented by the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, “Crashworthiness, What’s Wrong With Cars.” He has served as a Member of the Advisory Committee for a National Program, “The Experts Analyze Brain Damaged Baby Cases,” concerning birth injury to newborn babies. His interest and experience in cases involving injuries suffered by babies during labor and delivery led to his being appointed to The International Symposia Advisory Board, University of California Davis, Center for Perinatal Medicine and Law.
In 2003 he acted as Course Planner for The Pennsylvania Bar Institute for a seminar on Trial of a Medical Malpractice Lawsuit presented April 22, 2003. He made a presentation to a national organization dedicated to litigating cases involving unsafe cars, the Attorneys Information Exchange Group, on post collision fuel fed fires in General Motors cars in New Orleans on April 11, 2003.
