Shipman & Wright, LLP is a plaintiff's litigation boutique located in Wilmington, North Carolina, whose practice is focused on the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability, consumer fraud and class actions.  The firm is led by Gary Shipman, a board certifed civil trial specialist, whose courtroom skills have been chronicled in the media throughout North Carolina.

In 2004, Shipman obtained the first verdict, ever, in a medical malpractice case in Wilmington, North Carolina, that resulted in a jury imposing punitive damages against the defendant health care providers in the amount of $350,000.00.  Each of the firm's other lawyers have substantial litigation experience of their own.  William Wright, who prior to his work with the firm clerked on the North Carolina Court of Appeals, has served as a lecturer on appellate procedure to other members of the bar and has substantial experience in class actions.

Brian Geschickter, who prior to his association with the firm was trial counsel for Geico Insurance Company, knows the tactics that insurance companies use, and turns those tactics against them.  Angel Adams returns to the firm after her graduation from law school in 2005.  For more than 7 years, Ms. Adams was a litigation paralegal with the firm, and now combines her law degree with those years of prior experience. Suffice it to say that if you want the best, they are only a phone call away.
