Why Choose Us?

Tom McGovern personally handles every case.

WHY CHOOSE MCGOVERN LAW OFFICES?

Litigation is difficult on the victim and the victim’s family. Insurance companies will “bluff” victims with what they offer. So, your choice of legal representation is an important one. You can hire McGovern Law Offices, with the largest verdicts in state history – in cases decided by a jury – or you can hire a law firm with paralegals handling the hundreds of cases they cheaply settle each year.

If you choose McGovern Law Offices, Tom McGovern will personally handle your case. Tom McGovern has tried cases in Arizona for almost 30 years. Tom was an insurance defense attorney, the “special assistant” to attorney general Grant Woods, and since 1999 has exclusively represented victims of negligence. He has been the lead attorney in negligence cases in Arizona resulting in more than $60 million dollars in recovery for his clients, with more than $30 million of that from jury verdicts.

McGovern Law Offices secured some of the largest jury verdicts in recent Arizona history on behalf of its clients, including the following:

Largest medical negligence jury verdict for a single patient case in the past 20 years — $16.5M
Largest medical negligence verdict against the Federal Government in the last 20 years — $8.5M
Largest jury verdict involving the death of a newborn in the past 20 years — $1.8M
Largest jury verdict for medical negligence in Arizona in the past 10 years — $7.2M

Why We are Different ?

it’s our personal approach and commitment to each individual case that sets apart McGovern Law Offices from other firms.

WHAT MAKES MCGOVERN LAW OFFICES DIFFERENT?

The most important factor when choosing an attorney is what the other side thinks of your choice. When the other side sees McGovern Law Offices is involved in your case, they know they are up against a law firm with state records for large jury verdicts. The insurance company against you will weigh your choice of attorney heavily in deciding what to pay, whether to pay and whether they can bluff.

Unlike the law firms that advertise an “aggressive” style, only to farm out their cases to unnamed associates or paralegals, Tom McGovern handles each case personally. The goal is simple — Tom personally ensures that each client will achieve the best possible award for their particular case, and he will work tirelessly toward that goal.

The “advertiser” lawyers you might see on television don’t tell you that they only file a fraction of their cases, or that they rarely try any cases in court. Their goal is different. Their goal is to settle cases by volume. That means settling your case quickly and easily, so they can move on to the next case.

It’s this personal approach and commitment to each individual case that sets apart McGovern Law Offices from its competition.
